Mackays Hotel is located right on the river and close to the harbour in Wick, situated on Scotland’s far north eastern coast and a popular stopping point on the famous North Coast 500. To add some novelty to your visit, Mackays is situated on Ebenezer Place, officially the world’s shortest street.
Wick was once a Viking settlement before becoming one of Scotland’s foremost Herring fishing communities in the 19th century. Wick is the most northerly town of note on Scotland’s north-east coast and is only around 15 miles south of John o’ Groats.
