The City of Amsterdam
What makes Amsterdam so attractive is the 17th century historical atmosphere combined with the mentality of a modern metropolis, creating a friendly and relaxed environment. The small scale of the buildings and the intimacy of the streets, canals and squares create an atmosphere that visitors find unique.
Amsterdam and the Arts
Amsterdam has the highest museum density in the world and is home to cultural highlights, for example:
- The Van Gogh Museum
- Anne Frank House
- Hermitage Amsterdam
- The Rijksmuseum with Rembrandt’s world-famous Night Watch.
Other well-known places of interest in Amsterdam are the Royal Palace on the Dam, the Artis Zoo, the Jewish Historical Museum and the Rembrandt House.
Take a canal tour of Amsterdam and discover the historical canal district which was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2011.
The Keukenhof Bulb Fields
For over 70 years Keukenhof has been one of the biggest crowd pullers in the Netherlands. Nowhere else in the world can you find so many flowers in so many special compositions. Over the 32 hectares the park covers there are no less than 7 million bulbs! Each path leads you to a spectacular new flower tableau. Make sure to have your phone charged up as you'll want to take lots of pictures!
Our day trip allows you ample time to see the park at your leisure. The coach ride to Keukenhof is also worthwhile; we have chosen a route which takes you past the colourful flower fields.
We can arrange short beaks to Amsterdam from all UK airports or on Eurostar with onward connections to Amsterdam. So, whatever the time of year and whatever duration you decide on, we have all the options covered for a memorable trip to Amsterdam.
In 2025, Keukenhof will be open daily from 20 March – 11 May and tickets are now on sale.
