The Crossbasket Castle is located in Blantyre in a relaxing countryside, just thirty minutes from Glasgow city centre. The majestic castle mansion with 16th century tower is steeped in history and its 14-acre grounds combines landscaped gardens and mature woodland, there is also a small river and waterfall.
The careful restoration of both the Georgian and Victorian extensions and the update of interior design has produced an elegant hotel offering guests the experience of fine country house living. Guest rooms and public spaces ooze in style, rooms are dotted with period furniture, rare antiques and artwork.
The hotel offers nine individual rooms, all exclusively styled and varying in size. Rooms are excellently equipped and rooms feature marble bathrooms with walk-in showers.
The sumptuous Baillie Room embellished with gold leaf features and antiques, opens up as the Albert & Michael Roux Jr Restaurant, overseen by the famous French chef Albert Roux and his son and led by an award-winning head chef.
