The Dunalastair Hotel Suites is located in Kinloch Rannoch, in a spectacular setting in rural Perthshire only 18 miles west of Pitlochry and where the River Tummel drains into Loch Rannoch. Kinloch Rannoch is the quintessential Scottish loch side village, with a village centre of charming stone-built Victorian houses and shops set against a stunning backdrop of the river, the loch and the surrounding heather clad peaks.
Originally a sporting lodge, Dunalastair became a hotel as far back as 1860 with the current owners taking over in 2014 and commencing a multi-million pound refurbishment to create a contemporary interpretation of a traditional Scottish Highland hotel.
Dunalastair’s elegant rooms and suites offer guests the very best in modern luxuries and conveniences including high-speed Wi-Fi, Egyptian bed linen, White Company toiletries and 24 hour room service.
The hotel restaurant, Edina’s, is open all day and billed as a fine dining restaurant without the fuss. As well as focusing on local and Scottish ingredients they also have a passion for plant-based eating with their own Vegan menu. The Library is their exclusive use space where a group of guests can enjoy a hand crafted and personalised seven course tasting menu.
Dunalastair has some of Scotland’s finest scenery on its doorstep with superb walks and hikes by Loch Rannoch and in the local hills. A short distance away at the eastern end of Loch Tummel is Queen’s View and a little further on the popular tourist town of Pitlochry. A little way north of Pitlochry you’ll find the House of Bruar, Blair Castle and the A9 is the gateway to the eastern Highlands, Aviemore, Inverness and beyond.
