Acquired by the elite Scottish tennis champion Andy Murray, 3 miles from his hometown in Dunblane, his involvement encompasses a return to his heritage and a chance to reinvent the majestic era of grand country house living. The hotel which opened its doors after careful restoration in 2014, allows guests to experience the similar lifestyle embraced by the Lairds of Cromlix. Occupying 34-acres of quiet woodlands and lovely gardens, the Cromlix also owns the chapel and House Loch.
The understated grand interiors can be seen in all the rooms, from your own bedroom to the hotel’s restaurant. Dining at the Chez Roux restaurant is nothing short of lavish, the Chez Roux restaurant is overseen by French chef Albert Roux and led by the award-winning head chef Darin Campbell. The restaurant is based in the glass panelled conservatory which overlooks the gardens and is an open kitchen layout for diners to watch the chefs at work. Private dining options can also be arranged whether it be the small Study, the Billiard Room or the Garden Room.
The Cromlix estate offers an abundant of activities for some unforgettable memories, guests can participate in clay pigeon shooting, archery, quad biking and 4X4 off road driving. Blessed with its own Loch, the House Loch is filled with wild brown trout and if you’re lucky rainbow trout can also be found, guests are more than welcome to arrange half or full day fishing trips with the hotel.
Of course, the Cromlix offers leading tennis coaching by the UK’s most renowned coaches guiding players of all levels, the coaching techniques is in line with the RPT (Registro Profesional De Tenis) which have produced the likes of the tennis champion turn proprietor of the Cromlix, Andy Murray.
