Exeter Hotel Overview

Exeter Hotel is set in downtown Reykjavik, just 15 minutes’ walk from the Hallgrimskirkja Church, its surroundings are abuzz with shops, restaurants, cultural sights and it’s near the old harbour. It occupies a house originally built in 1904, and its transformed façade is a nod to contemporary architecture whilst paying homage to Iceland’s fishing trade.

There is an open plan setting which houses the restaurant, bar, lounge and reception area and an open garden, a perfect green space for relaxing. The hotel's bar offers draft beer and colourful cocktails, whilst the restaurant serves up street food favourites in a casual setting. There is also the Deig, the in-house bakery offering Icelandic bread made from potatoes and cream cheese, a must-try for foodies, it is similar to French croissants and American bagels.

Exeter’s guest rooms are designed with an industrial, edgy style. The functional rooms include a private bathroom with shower and room amenities include a coffee machine, minibar and complimentary WiFi as standard.
